Is ipad tabletization harming and changing, reading habits?

There are many reasons for the decline of book stores, say experts. As technology is increasing, the world is becoming paperless. It means that now most of the people do not read books, but rather prefer e-books. This is hurting our reading habits, say experts.

This is a fact that decline for the book stores and rise for the the e-books started simultaneously. Reasons are many, some of them are amazon, leisure time going lesser and lesser and has shrinked so much that we do not have even time for ourselves and our family. Another reason is the digital age, that offers so many bright and quick things that we feel bothered to go to a bookstore. Ipad tablets have changed our reading habits. Now instead of having a book in our hand, we have a tablet. There are those who believe that technology has hijacked the whole of the visitable Earth, miniaturized and simplified it, making travel so accessible on a flickering computer screen that there is no need to go anywhere except to your room,” writes Theroux recently on FT.com.

Many think that ipad tablets are a facilitation, a library in it self that have books at its finger tips. It may not have physical touch of a book but it is a fact that you can have access to millions of books in your ipad. The New York Times “Book Review” started “new lists of e-books that now amount to 15 percent of book sales in the U.S. And, Apple says “that number is rapidly rising.”

E-books becoming popular does not mean that the world will become paperless. There will be papers and books, and the book lovers. There will always be people who will prefer books instead of e-books on an ipad tablet. Important thing is, do you feel comfortable?

Apple to unveil iphone 5 on OCT. 4 event. A rumor or .................

Fresh rumors coming out of Cupertino suggest that Apple will be holding an event on October, 4. Apple’s new CEO, Tim Cook, is likely to unveil the new iPhone 5. However, it remains a rumor until Apple actually does that.

Cook took over for Steve Jobs last month. While Cook has been present at various Apple events as a CEO, this will be his first major product launch as CEO. That launch is expected to be iPhone 5. Not only this, there have been rumors that Apple is also (or only) making a low-cost iPhone 4, dubbed the iPhone 4S, that could help push iOS into developing countries. TechRepublic editor Jason Hiner said that “San Francisco’s Moscone Center, where Apple typically holds larger launch events, is booked by Oracle on October 4.” Apple could hold event at its Cupertino campus, but it is much smaller than the usual big Apple launch as it only holds about 250 people. Things which are most likely to happen at the OCT. 4 event:
  1. Tim cook, Apple’s new CEO, will be making an appearance and will discuss his vision.
     2.  Tim Cook will likely discuss about the success of Apple. IPhones sold, how many apps downloaded and how people have responded to Apple’s smart phone around the world.

           3.  Don’t forget Steve Jobs. They will be talking about him at this event as he is the chairman of the board. Apple shareholders and product owners would surely want to know that what would be Jobs’ role in the company.

After all being said, it is probably better to wait for the official call. As PCMag mobile analyst Sascha Segan noted "When the Apple event is announced, it won't be announced by 'sources.' It'll be announced by Apple."
